Artist of the moment………Street Artist Evol

Evol is a fantastic street artist renown for his buildings. If Evol involves graffiti in his work, it is on his fantastic miniature buildings. Evol is based out of Germany and was born in the year 1972. The artist earned a college degree and studied product design.

Price range information: Sorry none available. The artist cells C-prints of his art.

The buildings of the artist are sometimes painted on cardboard. The artist has a great palette for capturing the greys of the urban city. The artist uses the color of the cardboard as a base and to it adds many shades of grey, black, white.

In this clip we view the artist at work doing some art in Europe. I love this clip because we get to listen to how noisy it is. Sometimes we forget how easy we have it in the studio where we as artists control most of the noise that takes place in our home studio:

In this clip a longer version of the artist at work on a piece. His buildings are simple installations of his completed cardboard paintings:

What a great artist! Any artist that can make the ordinary into something extraordinary earns my respect. This artist is a paint painter, installation artist, and photographer all in one! Awesome!

Sorry not to write as much the past couple of days, my computer has been under siege from a virus and it takes much longer to gather information than normal! I had to finish this post at work as I am unable to upload any images from my home computer. I have still been doing my daily art research, due to technology issues I am just unable to post much.

Thanks for reading!
