Artist of the moment…Robin Tewes

Robin Tewes is a wonderful contemporary artist working mainly with interiors and animals. Born in Queens, New York in the year 1950, Tewes attended the Hunter College of New York.

What I enjoy most about the artists work is the great sense of dimension the viewer gets when looking at her works. One aspect that often goes without notice is the amount of detail she spends working on the backgrounds in her paintings. Many times the background is filled with script that adds further meaning to her art.

Tewes is looking to grab the viewer’s attention and start them thinking about their role in the universe.

The artist works mainly in oils.

Shows her work at the Saatchi Gallery based out of England.

Most works priced between $2,000 and $8,000.

Sorry no more information on this artist! If you enjoy paintings of interiors be sure and check out artists Lindsay Goodwin, Ron Hicks, and Alexander Creswell.
