Artist of the moment……..John J. O’Connor

John J. O’Connor is a wonderful mixed media artist who combines a brilliant sense of color, design, and text in a modernist painting style.

John O’Connor was born in Westfield, Massachusetts in the year 1972. For his collegiate education he studied at the Westfield College, the Pratt Institute, and the Skowehegan School of Art.

In this clip we view a show featuring John J. O’Connor with a our art admiring friend James Kalm. O’Connor produces very large works.

The artist is always looking for patterns that exist in nature and replicating them in his artwork. Some patterns he has worked with include the temperature in his living area and even his own blood pressure results. The artist is always looking for new visual patterns to explore.

Price range information: Sorry none available.

O’Connor is based out of New York City.

What a great mix of text, color, and design. His work reminds me a great deal of wonderful James Kalm, also known as Loren Munk. Kalm is featured our favorite gallery host and has taken us to many of the wonderful New York City galleries.
