Kakulu Saggiaktok is an Inuit artist from Cape Dorset, Nunavut Territory, Canada in the year 1940. Saggiaktok is a printmaker and sculptor renowned for her work with animals and the wildlife of the arctic. Her favorite subject matter is the bird.
An interesting fact about the artist is that she born on a boat owned by the Hudson Bay Company. Her family was part of group of Inuit people who went on the voyage in order to hunt and trap.
