Artist of the moment………Street Art Collective Broken Fingaz

 

 

Broken Fingaz is a street artist collective from Israel. The collective consists of four members named Tant, Deso, Kip, and Unga. As a group they have completed many illustrative assignments including music album covers, murals, fashion design, and even animation.

Broken Fingaz draws inspiration from tatoos, the skateboard culture, and also from comic books.

Artist of the moment………Guy Yanai

 

 

Guy Yanai is a wonderful contemporary artist who paints landscapes and floral works in a modern style. Guy Yanai was born in Haifi, Israel in the year 1977. The artist enjoys flattening shapes and working bold an bright colors.

Guy Yanai is based out of Tel-Aviv, Israel.

The artist is well schooled having attended Parsons School of Design, the New York Studio School, and earned a B.F.A. from Hampshire College located in Amherst, Massachusetts.

Below a short interview with Guy Yanai and a trip to the artist’s studio in Tel-Aviv, Israel:

Yanai has a great sense for simplifying shapes and producing fantastic compositions. His works also involve a great deal of abstraction, a great deal more than more traditional artists for the fact that he is trying to paint a real object using hard edges.
