Artist of the moment………James Haunt

 

James Haunt is an American street artist based out of Los Angeles, California. The artist is renown for his paintings of the female face and figure.

James Haunt’s government name is James Gillette. Haunt is his alter ego.

The artist has been very success in his commercial ventures. He has helped to design apparel and watches.

Its interesting to see the different portrayals of the mouth and lips in art. Some other artists who came up with some great designs include Andy Warhol and the photographer Marilyn Minter.

Artist of the moment………….Harold Frank

 

Harold Frank was an American painter renown for his paintings of the female face and figure. Harold Frank was born in South Hampton, England in the year 1917. Frank and his family immigrated to the United States when he was four years old in 1921. The artist was considered an abstract expressionist painter.

Frank served in the United States Army.

The artist was raised in New York City. Harold Frank attended the National Academy of Design and the Pratt Institute located in New York City. Frank also attended college in Los Angeles studying at U.C.L.A. and the Chouinard Art Institute.

The artist worked in oils, acrylics, and mixed media.

Artist of the moment……….Alice Pasquini

 

Alice Pasquini is a street artist renown for her work with the female face and figure. Alice is based out of Rome, Italy. The artist attended the Academy of Fine Art located in Rome.

Alice Pasquini was born in the year 1980.

 

I find the work of Alice to be similar to Swoon. Pasquini is very successful as a commercial artist and some clients include Microsoft, Nike, and Toyota.

In her work Alice strives to capture quiet moments of our daily lives. When she portrays the female figure its seen as a strong independent figure, not as a sex symbol.

 

Artist of the moment……Witness Bonjisi

Witness Bonjisi is a shona artist born in Mudzi, Zimbabwe in the year 1975. He is renown for his works featuring the female figure and face. Bonjisi comes from an artist filled family as three siblings went on to become artists.

Bonjisi began sculpting in 1992 with first generation shona artist Nicholas Mukomberanwa. Polishing and helping to finish works by others he began work on his won in 1997.
