Artist of the moment……….Devin Powers




Devin Powers is an American artist renown for his abstract paintings and wood carvings. Devin Powers was born in Boston, Massachusetts in the year 1980.

Powers attended Brooklyn College in New York.

The work of Devin Powers reminds of abstract artist Mark Grotjahn and also some of the master Inuit carvers. The mixture of carved wood and color is awesome!


Artist of the moment……..Beverly Pepper


Beverly Pepper is an American sculptor renown for her minimalist style. Beverly Pepper was born Beverly Stoll in New York City in the year 1922.

Below we visit a show featuring Beverly Pepper that took place in 2012:

She was married to a writer.

Pepper enjoyed art from a very young age and was admitted to the Pratt Institute at the age of sixteen years of age. She also attended the Art Student’s League of New York and Brooklyn College. Pepper also studied in Paris at the Grand Chaumiere.

Pepper began to work with wood and then switched to steel and metal. She was very innovative in her use of materials.

In her later years she has become more of a land artist with works that include geometric shapes of grass alongside steel shapes. A wonderful mix of colors, textures, and shapes.

Price range information: Non public sized works can be found from $10,000 to $100,000. These includes works in graphite, etchings, collages, and small bronzes.
