Richard Bosman is an Australian artist who was born in Madras, India in 1944.
Included in many prominent collections including the Museom of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of Art, and the Yale University Art Collection.
For his artistic studies Bosman studied at famed British illustrator’s school, the John Byum Shaw School of Art located in Madras, India. Shaw was a great realist and loved to portray realism. His work reminds me of an old master such as Bougereux. Shaw was highly skilled at painting the female form. Below an example of Shaw’s style.
First started exhibiting in 1980.

Bosman also studied at the New York Studio School and also in Skowhegan, Maine.
