Artist of the moment…….Paniluk Qamanirq


Paniluk Qamanirq is a wonderful Inuit artists who is one of few working in an abstract manner, only occasionally producing works of animals and sea life. Paniluk Qamanirq was born in Pond Inlet, Nunavut Territory, Canada in the year 1935 and now hails from the region of Arctic Bay, Nunavut Territory.

The artist’s husband, Philip is also a professional artist.

The artist is part of the collection of the National Gallery of  Canada.

Price range information: Works range from $500 to $3,000.

Qamanirq was included in many of the top art exhibitions that brought Inuit art to the international art scene back in the 1970s.




Artist of the moment……Elisapee Kanangnaq Ahlooloo

Elisapee Ahlooloo was an Inuit artist born in the year 1918 renown for her sculpture works in ivory and stone. The artist enjoyed worked with the figure.

The artist was married three times and her third husband was also an artist named Peter Ahlooloo. Peter Ahlooloo was born in 1908 and renown for his work with animals and the figure.

Elisapee Ahlooloo had two children who went on to art careers but no pictures of their work were available.

Price range information: Works range from $500 to $3,000. She worked in stone, marble, and ivory.

Artist of the moment….Zebedee Enoogoo

Zebedee Enoogoo is an Inuit artist from Arctic Bay, Nunavut Territory, Canada.  Zebedee Enoogoo was born in 1931.

His family relocated to Arctic Bay in the mid 1960s where he soon established himself as a premier artist.

Made his first carving at at 8. Made his first carving for profit at 18 years of age.

His wife Paungaqjuk and sister are both artists.

Price range information: Most works priced between $500 and $3,000.
