Artist of the moment……..Lindsay Goodwin

 

 

Lindsay Goodwin is an American painter renown for her paintings of interiors and landscapes. Lindsay Goodwin attended the Academy of Art located in San Francisco, California. She was selected among the top 15 artists in her class.

Her move into the international art world came years later whilst living in France. It was here she learned the skill necessary to depict her fancy and dramatically light filled interior scenes.

The artist has been included in many prestigious shows including the California Art Club. In addition she has appeared in numerous international art publications including American Art Collector.

I enjoy her paintings of the interior because she puts so much detail and information into her work. Many works are small, but with a wonderful sense of design and light and dark.

Artist of the moment….Andrew Schoultz

Andrew Schoultz is an exciting contemporary artist born in Wisconsin, United States in the year 1975. For his artistic education Schoultz attended the Academy of Art located in San Francisco, California. His work is a mix of mediums on most occasions and the artist works in very large formats, some recent pieces being more than 20 by 10 feet long.

Schoultz found inspiration for his working style from map makers based in Germany during the 15th century.

Andrew Schoultz does paintings, mixed media collage works using very creative ideas such as shredded currency, murals, and installations.

The artist is based out of San Francisco, California.

Some themes frequently used by the artist include spirituality, imperialism, war, and politics.

I enjoy this artist for his great sense of design. Also the scale of his works are quite staggering. His work is very balanced, he isn’t trying to dominate the conversation, he wants to get the viewer to think about their surroundings and world.
