David Cooley is an American artist renown for his unique blend of geometric abstraction and realism. David Cooley was born in Hollywood, California in the year 1978.

Cooley is a very skilled artist whose artwork is a patchwork of mediums. The artist uses a dental tool to make his unique shapes on his canvas. Most works are made of acrylic paint, resin, fabric, and spray paint.

In this clip we view a show featuring many gallery artists including David Cooley:

I enjoy the levels of realism and abstraction found in the work of this artist. If you enjoy this time of organized abstraction be sure and check out the work of Fred Tomasseli, another artist who enjoys blending many mediums in his art.

Artist of the moment………Never2501

Never2501 is an Italian street artist renown for his unique style of murals that emphasize white and dark lines that are wavy and curvy. His works cross the boundaries of several art movements including Op Art, abstract art, and figurative art.

His work is similar to a pattern you might find on a zebra.

The artist was influenced by what he saw in his native country of Italy. When he was a young teen his family moved to Brazil. This move also had a profound impact on the artist.

In this clip we view an interview with Never2501. The artist talks about his childhood and what inspires his artwork:

Never2501 is based out of Milan, Italy.

From a design standpoint you really can’t do much better than this artist’s designs. His lines have wonderful variances between thick and think weighted lines. These works remind me of British Op Art master Bridget Riley.
