Audrey Kawasaki is an American street artist renown for her work with the female face and figure. Kawasaki attended the Pratt Institute located in New York City.

Price range information: Sorry none available for originals. From time to time archival prints can be found for around $100.

Below a wonderful montage of works by Kawasaki:

I really enjoy the artist’s style of painting the female face and figure on wood. Her backgrounds are very abstract since she paints on wood and lets this pattern be seen. The artist reminds me of Swoon although Kawasaki’s character’s being overtly more sexual.

Artist of the moment……….Kadar Brock

Kadar Brock is an American abstract artist. Kadar Brock was born in New York City in the year 1980. For his collegiate education Brock attended the Cooper Union School of Art located in New York City.

Brock’s first solo exhibition was in 2005.

In this clip we visit an exhibition of art by Kadar Brock:

Brock has been part of exhibitions in the United States, Asia, and Europe.

The artist is based out of Brooklyn, New York.

Price range information: Sorry none available.

Most of the paintings of Brock are made of mixed media including oil, house paint, and spray paint.

Its very interesting that the artist was a portrait painter, who was struggling to find his voice, who then sanded his down and was able to find his own style of painting. He was an abstract painter disguised as  a portrait artist!
