Artist of the moment………..Btoy

Btoy is a Spanish street artist renown for her work with the iconic female figures. The artist came to the world of street art after her mother passed away in 2002. Making art was the way she dealt with stress.

In this clip we catch a glimpse of the artist at work on a large mural in Barcelona:

Btoy was born in Barcelona, Spain in the year 1977. Her government name is Anrea Michealsson.

For her composition ideas Btoy is influenced by old pictures of old movie stars of Hollywood, including starlets from the silent era.

The artist enjoys working with new mediums. She works often with acrylic paint, spray paint, and plastics. She often uses photoshop to help form her stencils.

In this clip we view a gallery show by Btoy:

Price range information: Sorry none available.

Btoy reminds me of artists Swoon (American) and Faith47(South African.) All three of these artists do a great job at showing the struggles and faces of the contemporary female figure.
