Jack Roth was an American painter associated with the Abstract Expressionist and Color Field movements. Jack Roth was born in Brockway, Pennsylvania in the year 1927.

Roth attended the California School of Fine Arts. Roth went on to earn a M.F.A. from the State University of Iowa. The artist also earned a Ph.D. in mathematics from Duke University.
The artist was a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship.
Jack Roth passed away in 2004.
Roth is included in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art located in New York City.
