Artist of the moment………Paul Insect



Paul Insect is a British street artist renown for his creative work with the figure and animals. The artist is a painter and avid printmaker.

Paul Insect was born in the year 1971.

The artist often uses images dealing with aggression and sex, two characteristics often associated with male behavior.

Perhaps Great Britain’s most famous artist, Damien Hirst, is a huge fan of Paul Insect.

Insect has also designed music album covers.

Price range information: Prints can be found starting at $3,000 to $5,000. Original acrylic works can command as much as $50,000.

Artist of the moment………..Herman Cherry


Herman Cherry was an American artist renown for his abstract expressionist paintings. Herman Cherry was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey in the year 1909.

Cherry attended the Otis Art Institute located in Los Angeles, California. Cherry also studied at the Art Student’s League in New York City with Thomas Hart Benton. The artist also studied at the Art Student’s League of Los Angeles where he studied with Stanton MacDonald Wright.

After college the artist was employed by the Works Progress Administration and painted many murals. He would later travel to Mexico to see some of the murals painted by Diego Rivera and other notable Mexican artists.

The artist worked in oils and ink. He was also an author, writing a publishing a book on poetry.

Herman Cherry passed away in 1992.
