Artist of the moment……..Duvier Del Dago

Duvier Del Gado is a Cuban artist renown his three dimensional drawings and installations of material items most people are trying to attain. Duvier Del Dago was born in Zulueta, Villa Clara, Cuba in the year 1976.

Some past subjects include castles, motorcycles, and guns.

The artist attended the ISE ( Instituto Superior del Arte). A major mentor for Del Dago was another Cuban artist named Rene Rodriguez.

Del Gado has been a two time participant in the Havana, Cuba Art biennial.

Below a great interview with Duvier Del Dago talking about his creative process and how much he enjoys drawing. Del Dago says he has been drawing as long as he can remember.

Price range information: Sorry none available.

What a creative artist! It will be interesting to see if the artist ever tries to use more color in his installations. What I enjoy most about this very modern artist, is the fact he doesn’t use any technology yet his artwork from a distance looks like a hologram. He often starts by a drawing of the subject on semi transparent nylon. Then he makes a connect the dots system he developed using hooks on wooden panels and thread.
