When I view the work of Jules de Balincourt the portraits remind me of Alex Katz and Shag. The flatness and similar drawing style to Katz and the color and playful characters of Shag. His landscapes remind me of travel artist David Klein. Klein was a great artist renown for his posters and the first American artist to have a poster sell for more than $10,000 at auction.
