Artist of the moment……..Tom Killion

 

Tom Killion is an American artist working in Japanese woodblock style portraying images of the landscape. Killion is renown for his works for the conservancy and wildlife efforts and works including the Sierra Nevada Mountains and other national parks and landscapes.

Tom Killion was born in Mill Valley, California. He grew up in the region and his entire life he has been surrounded by wonderful artistic vistas. Killion studied history and the art of printmaking at the University of California at Santa Cruz. Killion went on to earn a master’s degree with studies on African history at Stanford University.

The artist spent many years in Africa working on humanitarian projects. Much of his work is done to help raise money for these charities.
