Artist of the moment…….Chafik Abboud

Chafik Abboud was born in Lebanon in the year 1926 and painted in an Abstract Expressionist style. The artist used landscapes of his native Lebanon in many of these works for inspiration. Mount Lebanon was a common subject for the artist.

Abboud attended the Lebanese Academy of Fine Art and also the Les Ecoles Nationale des Beaux Artes located in Paris, France.

The artist also was inspired by a workshop he took with Andre L’hote, the famous French painter.

Chafik Abboud passed away in 2004.

Abboud was based out of Paris, France for most of his career.

Price range information: Abboud painted with oils for most of his career with prices ranging from $10,000 to the $100,000.
