Richad Lytle is a wonderful artist that mixes botanical and floral shapes with abstracted images. Richard Lytle was born in Albany, New York in the year 1935.
For his artistic education Richard Lytle attended Cooper Union located in New York City earning a bachelors degree. For his postgraduate Lytle attended Yale University where he earned a MFA.
Lytle when on to join the faculty at Yale University as a professor of drawing and color.
The artist also taught at Silvermine University. I believe this is a now defunct college that used to be located in Fairfax, Connecticut.
Lytle went back to Yale where he currently is an associate professor of art specializing in painting.
Price range information: Sorry none available. The artist works in many mediums including graphite, watercolor, charcoal, and oils.
I love the mix of floral and botanical shapes with the abstracted backgrounds. If you enjoy this type of format be sure and check out two artists already profiled here Robert Kushner and Daniel Phill.
