Artist of the moment…..Kazuyuki Ohtsu

Kazuyuki Ohtsu was born in the year 1935 in Izesaki City, Gunma Prefrecture, Japan. For many years he worked in the shadow of the master artist Kiyoshi Saito, profiled here already. Once Saito passed away in 1998, Ohtsu jumped into his long awaited spotlight. But in the Asian culture it is very important to be loyal to your master and give him your service.

The artist learned about printing at the Umera Hanga studio in Tokyo, Japan.

Price range information: Works range from $250 to $2,000.

Ohtsu has a calender out for 2014. Very encouraging work.



Artist of the moment……Dylan Thomas

Dylan Thomas is a young Coast Salish artist born in the year 1980 on Valdes Island, Canada. The artist is young but very skilled at printmaking and also making jewelry.

Price range information: Works range from $150 to $2,000. This includes jewelry and prints.

The artist has been influenced by many other Northwest Coast artists featured here such as Susan Point and Robert Davidson.

Dylan Thomas began to exhibit his work in 2011.
