Artist of the moment……Ernest Pignon Ernest

Ernest Pignon Ernest is street artist who installs his drawings in addition to performance art.  Ernest Pignon- Ernest was born in Nice, France in the year 1942. Often makes references to other painters such as Caravaggio in his artwork.

Pignon enjoys working with images of disaster such as the nuclear bomb at Hiroshimo.

Doesn’t like the world of gallery art and exhibitions.

Artist of the moment….Joe Kiloonik

Joe Kiloonik was a master carver born in Taloyoak, Nunavut Territory, and Canada in the year 1938.

Kiloonik began to carve in the 1970s.

price range information: Works range from $5,000 to $15,000.

Was a slow and methodical carver who strove to put in very fine details in his figures.

Joe Kiloonik passed away in 2011 at the age of 73 years of age.

Artist of the moment…….Northwest Coast Artist Chazz Mack

Chazz Mack is one of the youngest Northwest Coast artists born in Vancouver, British Columbia in the year 1990. His name in his language means likes to learn things. Was inspired to draw by his father. The artist is very diverse in his output making jewelry, prints, and carvings.

Began taking lessons from a professional artist at the age of 13 years of age. The professional was an artist named Alvin Mack, no relation. Alvin Mack also graduated from the Northwest Coast Art graduating at the top of his class. Alvin mack produced wonderful jewelry in addition to very large totem poles he first carved as a teenager.

Is currently attending college at the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art located in Terrace, British Columbia.

Jef Aerosol ,also known as Jean-Francois Perroy ,was born in the year 1957 in Nantes, France.

Considered one of the founders of the street art movement alongside Blek le Rat.

Made his first street art in 1982.
