Artist of the moment…….Kevin Red Star

Kevin Red Star is a contemporary native american artist born in 1943.He resides in Lodge Grass, Montana and is an enrolled member of the Crow tribe. Red Star paints in acrylics and oils but also produces fantastic mixed media works. For his artistic education Red Star attended the San Francisco Art Institute, Montana State Billings and Bozeman, and Institute of American Indian Arts. Red Star was born and raised on the reservation. His mother was an artist working with fiber arts and loved doing bead work. His father was a musician.

Price range information: Mixed media works range from $6000 and up, these are usually figure works done in watercolor. Oils range $16,000 to $25,000.
