Artist of the moment…. pastel artist james romberger

Mr. Romberger can be described as a social realist similar in style and manner to George Bellows and Reginald Marsh. Rather than render objects, the artist has a great sense of light and accurately catches the emotion and soul an area. He has music at the Met in New York and also the Brooklyn Museum.

The artist is known for capturing New Yorks East side in both pastels and also for cartoons. Some cartoon projects include World War 3 illustrated and Ground Zero a science fiction piece made with his wife the film director Marguerite Van Cook. He has also done work for Marvel comics and Paradox Press.

He was born in 1958 and lives with his wife in New York.

keep on the journey,
